Here are a few stories that I have found interesting and I hope you will, too!

“Looking ahead, they say their method opens a new avenue for exploration of how learning functions at the level of the individual neuron.”

“Odors attach to receptors of olfactory cells in nasal mucosa, where they trigger nerve signals.”

…”significantly higher emotional empathy levels were recorded for the oxytocin group than for the placebo group…”

I found the article “Hormone spray increases male sensitivity” and its implications regarding social sensitivity and oxytocin levels very interesting. According to the study, by increasing levels of oxytocin in a person via nasal spray, participants showed increased sensitivity to “social multipliers.” This research is consistent with the 2006 research done by Marazziti and Dell’Osso (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1621060/) which inferred that oxytocin levels may be associated disorders with disorders that result in social communication difficulties, such Schizophrenia and Autism Spectrum.
