As many of you know, our daughter Kristin serves as a Captain in the US Army. Although she is not currently deployed abroad, she did serve for 13 months in Iraq–very long months for Mr F, her sisters, and me.

Now Xerox is doing something really cool for our soldiers overseas. All you have to do is go here, choose a postcard and a greeting, and Xerox will send your card to a soldier.

The hardest part is choosing from all of the wonderful children’s art used for the postcards. Thank you for caring!

What a great site! That was actually really cool, so I sent a few cards 🙂 I think joining the military is one of the most admirable things anyone can do. Anytime a soldier is deployed, no matter what the reason, they must sacrifice SOOO MUCH that many of us can’t even comprehend. From missing precious family moments or being unable to shower for days, their experiences make me realize how much I take things for granted and makes me appreciate the soldiers’ efforts even more. Regardless of WHY they are deployed or WHY our country is at war, I think we can “support our troops” no matter what side of the issue we stand on.

Hi, Jake. Thanks so much for the positive post. I have heard first-hand about how much these expressions of support mean to our soldiers.

This is such a great idea and opportunity to say thanks to our military members over seas. I encourage everyone to take a few minutes and pick out one the wonderful cards. Having spent six months in the Gulf War, I can say it was always so motivating to receive things from people back home, especially during the holiday season.
