I received a nice response from Sharon Mann of Pendaflex regarding my question about the politics of Pilers. Here is the breakdown Sharon shared with me:

“Out of the 516 office workers surveyed, 249 admitted to “piler” status. Of those 249 pilers:

  • 36 percent–Democrats
  • 35 percent–Republicans
  • 18 percent–Independent
  • 12 percent–other/not registered”

It looks to me like pilers are about equally likely to be either Republicans, Democrats, or others. In contrast, over half of the filers were Republicans.
