I really have had a big gap between my last blog and now–I was hoping to keep up better, but grading activities at the end of the quarter didn’t help. I really enjoyed the participation this quarter by my stellar Biological Psychology students. I’m going to try the same system next quarter, too. For Spring, I finally get to teach Sensation/Perception again after not doing so for about 5 years. That will bring even more students into the mix.
In the meantime, my husband has been having fun with the Myers-Briggs personality types, in spite of my protestations that 16 boxes isn’t very many categories in which to place 6 billion human beings. Roger is an ENTJ, and I am an INTJ. I have some interesting company–Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jane Austen, Colin Powell, Rudy Giuliani. It’s funny that I admire many of the people on my list (Arthur Ashe, Lance Armstrong), but others annoy me a lot (Katie Couric, Chevy Chase, Phil Donahue).
What do these two have in common? They’re both INTJs (like me).
Anyway, when I recover from my traditional end-of-the-quarter illness, I’ll get back to my bio psych posts.
