I’m sitting upstairs in the international terminal at LAX waiting for my flight to Zurich. From there, I fly to Athens, where Kristin and Karen will be meeting me at the airport. Kristin’s been in Athens a few days, and Karen arrives about half a day ahead of me. It will be terrific to see them both! I don’t arrive in Athens until just after midnight Saturday night local time, but I am traveling well-fortified with Roger’s sandwiches and homemade baklava.
Technology certainly has made it easier to keep in touch while traveling. We are all planning on using Skype, which is a fun way to use video as well as audio. Roger and I tested it out a few minutes ago, and he screen captured me on his computer.
Unfortunately, no technology is likely to help me with jet lag. I react to 3 hours, so the ten between California and Athens should be truly entertaining 🙂 But with so much to see and do, I don’t think I’m going to be worrying much about jet lag! Stay tuned for pictures! Our hotel has a super view of the Acropolis.
