I hope all of you enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We were unable to gather the entire clan–Kristin’s duties did not allow her to travel, and Karen’s semester is coming to a crescendo–but Mr. F, Karla, and Grandma June gathered for some excellent turducken.

In the spirit of the holiday, here are a few things for which I’m very thankful:

1.  Health and happiness–knock on wood, we’re all enjoying good health.

2.  Not only was November 22nd Thanksgiving, but it was the 38th anniversary of my first date with Mr. F! We went to the UCLA-USC football game at the Coliseum, what else? And of course, we finished our Thanksgiving evening watching the current USC team trounce ASU.

3.  Family–Even though we can’t always be together, we enjoy close ties with our loved ones.

4.  Living in a free country–awfully hard to beat this one!

Karen enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving with some of her classmates at Tennesee.

Kristin, aka Captain “Jane” Sparrow for Halloween, first donned her formal uniform to serve dinner to soldiers staying on base, then joined friends for her own Thanksgiving feast.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
