Some of my friends take a vacation to get away from it all, to find some tropical beach where they can stretch out and drink exotic beverages. My preferred ‘time off’ is to do something different.
Right now, I am in the beautiful State of Tennessee. My daughter, Karen, will be studying toward her Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Although she really doesn’t need my help, she welcomes it and it is fun for me.
Today, we are moving her into her new apartment, unloading her car and mountainous possessions and having the utilities set up. Tomorrow, we’ll shop for food and whatever else is needed.
The payoff? Karen plans to take us to dinner at a wonderful riverfront restaurant!
What more could a mother want?
