Here is what I am reading today:

The result is the scientific article ‘Oral movements and the perception of semi-solid food’ in which they have combined the results from sensory, physiological and instrumental research.”

The intensity of the activity seems to be particularly important, with a cumulative 30-minute increase in moderate physical activity throughout the day offering significant benefits for fitness and long-term health.”

I thought the article about wiggling your way to fitness way very entertaining. It reminds me of when I was a child and I could not sit still. I wonder if my inability to sit still coupled with the fact that my mom always made me take the stairs and walk to school is part of the reason why I have never had a weight problem. There has to be truth behind all the small tiny movements in a day adding up to make some difference. My current boyfriend, for example, is a constant fidgeter, and also can eat whatever he wants. Of course, I am not forgetting about genetics, but there has to be some benefit to not being able to sit still. Nevertheless, I also think the fact that my mom outlawed cable and video games in the house also added to my Incidental Physical Activities (IPAs). Not to be biased, but I think that every child would benefit from playing more (not involving a screen) and then we could all stop talking about the childhood obesity epidemic.
